Volunteering Days

As part of our mission, we aim to host many more Volunteering Days across various schools in and around Johannesburg. These days will provide a holistic experience for children, encouraging them to participate in interactive academic activities that stimulate their curiosity and learning.

Additionally, we plan to make a tangible impact by assisting with the learning environment—whether through donating essential resources, organizing book drives, or conducting maintenance where needed. By involving the community in these efforts, we hope to create a more supportive and enriched educational atmosphere for all children

Youth Day - 2025

On June 16th, 2025, Educate to Elevate proudly hosted a vibrant Youth Day event at a school in Klipspruit West, Soweto. The day was a celebration of heritage, resilience, and youth empowerment.

A highlight of the morning was a powerful performance by St Davids Inanda, which captivated the audience and set a spirited tone for the day. We were also honored to welcome a guest speaker who shared an inspiring message with the learners, reflecting on the challenges faced by today’s youth and the importance of perseverance.

The celebration continued with three engaging cultural activities, giving students the opportunity to explore, participate, and connect with their roots in meaningful ways.

It was a day filled with inspiration, cultural pride, and unity — a true testament to the power of community and the potential of our youth.

International Children’s Book Day - 2025

On the 29th of March 2025, we had the joy of celebrating International Children’s Book Day at the Johannesburg Children’s Home — a special morning dedicated to nurturing a love for stories, imagination, and literacy.

The day was filled with excitement and creativity. Children enjoyed listening to captivating stories, creating their very own storybooks, and designing beautiful name bracelets to take home. From storytelling circles to hands-on craft time, every activity was designed to spark curiosity and build confidence in reading and self-expression.

It was more than just a fun morning — it was a celebration of the power of books to inspire, connect, and uplift. By making literacy fun and interactive, we aim to plant the seeds of a lifelong love for reading.

Because every child deserves to see themselves in a story — and tell their own.

On the 8th of September 2024, we proudly celebrated International Literacy Day at the Johannesburg Children’s Home — a joyful morning dedicated to the power of reading.

The children were treated to a variety of engaging storybook readings, followed by a creative session where they designed their own personalized bookmarks and reading trackers. These fun, hands-on activities helped reinforce a positive connection with books and reading.

It was a morning filled with love, laughter, and literacy — reminding us all that every child deserves the opportunity to discover the magic of reading.
